After a wildly successful stop at Bayside Bowl last year, the Professional Bowlers Association is returning this weekend to hold two events at the popular alley in Portland. According to the Kennebec Journal, the events held at Bayside Bowl will also be televised on ESPN in April and May.

The Elias Cup is the big event happening this weekend, which starts Thursday and wraps up on Sunday. It's a team tournament that will feature some of the best professional bowlers in the country. The other event is the Maine Shootout, which is a single-elimination tournament. Last year when the PBA came to Bayside, the crowds were loud, lively and energetic. The PBA liked that atmosphere and hopes for exactly the same thing this time around.
