Rise Above Fest Will Be Two Days In 2017; Korn, Shinedown To Headline
After previous years have filled the Bangor Waterfront with concert goers, the Rise Above Festival will expand to two days for 2017 version this July.
Somewhere Shaun Morgan must be smiling. Waterfront Concerts announced today that the Rise Above Fest will become twice as large, extending to 2 days over the course of July 22nd-July 23rd and will include some of the biggest names in rock music.
Saturday, July 22nd will feature veteran rockers Korn as the night's headliners. Corey Taylor and his band Stone Sour, along with Seether and Skillet will provide support on the main stage for Saturday night's festivities. But the party will resume on Sunday.
Sunday's edition of the Rise Above Fest will have one of the biggest touring rock bands going today as the headliner, Shinedown. Halestorm, Theory of a Deadman, Hell Yeah and All That Remains are just some of the bands that will rock Darling's Waterfront Pavilion to close out the weekend.
The Rise Above Fest was put together by Shaun Morgan of Seether to bring awareness and support suicide prevention and people with mental illness. This will be the 5th annual event. More information about the SAVE program can be found here.
Tickets officially go on-sale Friday, February 24th at 10 a.m. There will be 2-day festival passes, VIP passes and 1-day single tickets available.
