Sabattus, Maine, House of Pizza Once Again For Sale
Anyone who has owned and operated a restaurant will tell you that there's always plenty of risk. There's very little thing as a 'safe bet'.
Then again, one of the safest bets in Maine for decades has been owning and operating a house of pizza. Towns and cities throughout the Pine Tree State have them. And while they're not officially a chain, the branding makes it feel like they are.
Which is why the Sabattus House of Pizza's closure has been bugging people. People have peppered social media with questions. Why is it closed? When will it reopen? The answers are murky.
Sabattus House of Pizza is For Sale Again
Listed by the Boulos Company, the Sabattus House of Pizza at 129 Sabattus Road has been listed for sale. The listing price for the property, business and equipment is $949,000.
For months, the house of pizza has been closed. Initially, it was a staffing issue that led to reduced hours. Sabattus House of Pizza put out a call for employees 21 or older, including listing jobs through Indeed.
It just didn't pan out.
Sabattus House of Pizza Could Continue If The Right Buyer Emerges
Four years after the business was purchased in 2021, the latest owners are hopeful someone else has the vision and know how to make the longstanding house of pizza work.
While the listing price is substantially higher than when it last sold in 2021, the Sabattus House of Pizza has proven to be a successful business in the area when running smoothly.
Additional traffic to the area is expected with an Aroma Joe's location opening next door soon.
