Sagamore Hill in Portland, Maine, Plans to Close Permanently
Located on the corner of Park Street and Congress Street, it's likely you've walked or driven past Sagamore Hill but never stepped inside.
The cocktail lounge was inspired by former President Theodore Roosevelt. For nearly a decade, the lounge has been slinging some impressive craft cocktails to customers who actually didn't want to let the secret out.
According to Portland Old Port, it won't be a secret much longer. Sagamore Hill will close permanently following New Year's Eve this year.

After Sagamore Hill closes its doors for good on New Year's Eve, it won't be empty for long.
According to Portland Food Map, a new wine and cocktail bar called Marquis Lounge has plans to take over the space. It will be a New Orleans inspired lounge.
Marquis Lounge plans to do a quick decorative turnaround in hopes of being open by Mardi Gras.
