Haunting History

It's no question that the go-to spot for fans of the spooky and the historical in New England flock to Salem, Massachusettes. Salem has wonderfully preserved the history of the town and the infamous Salem Witch Trials of 1692. And what better way to celebrate Halloween than visiting the most haunting town in New England?

In addition to the history, fans of Disney's cult-classic Hocus Pocus flock to the town to see the iconic locations around town where the movie following the Sanderson Sisters was filmed.

Tourism is always at an all-time high in early autumn and the town is looking to get ahead of any spikes in COVID-19 cases by implementing new mask mandates.

Mask Up

Starting on August 23rd and going through November 13th the town will require masks to be worn in all indoor public spaces for those 2 years old and above.

When at a restaurant masks may be removed while seated. In a bar setting masks may only be removed if seated at a table, the bar, or while eating or drinking.

Failure to abide by the new rules could result in a $50 fine for the first offense, $150 for the second and $300 for the third and subsequent offenses.
