When the Portland Sea Dogs open their season at Hadlock Field on April 4, two new and uniquely Maine items will be available for hungry fans.

The first item is massive. The Fried Dough Burger has eight patties, cheese, bacon crumble, lettuce and tomato. To hold it all in, two fried doughs are used as a bun. You're going to need a knife and fork and several friends to polish this baby off.

The second is perfect for Maine baseball. Lobster Popcorn has real pieces of lobster mixed with popcorn and drizzled with melted butter and is served in a mini Sea Dogs helmet just like ice cream is. This one you can probably keep for yourself.

Both of these new items will be available at the Shipyard Grill behind the left field grandstand at Hadlock Field.

Sea Dogs President and General Manager Geoff Iacuessa said, "The Lobster Popcorn offers a ballpark staple combined with an iconic Maine dish that will certainly be one of the most unique and delicious items that you will find at a ballpark."

In addition to those two items, the Sea Dogs will be having Foodie Friday's on every Friday game at Hadlock and will be serving up another unique item Friday home game  like Deep Fried Pop Tarts, Fried Macaroni & Cheese and Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. Each offering can be paired with a local craft brew for $5. Look for Foodie Friday's at the Park Avenue Plaza on the first base side of the stadium.
