If you are familiar with the food trucks in Portland, Maine, you probably have a favorite by now. Personally, I'm obsessed with Tacos Del Seoul. I can't get enough of its Korean-Mexican Fusion. The food is wonderful, and keep in mind that I know what I am talking about, since I grew up with both Korean and Mexican cuisine.

Regardless of your preference, it is not always easy to find out where your food truck is going to be parked on any given day. I follow my favorites on social media; however, not all of them keep their pages updated. That's why I think Matt Noone, a businessman from the area, is brilliant. He created an app for that, and it is free, according to the Portland Press Herald. The newspaper says Noone came up with the idea about a year ago, when he and his son couldn't find a food truck, and an online search proved to be futile.

His app, FoodTruX, launched last week in Portland and also in Denver, according to the article. Noone hopes his invention will go nationwide.

The FoodTruX app is simple. Once downloaded, it uses GPS to locate food trucks that subscribe to the app. Right now, the Herald says there are around 60 Maine food trucks that participate. Download it here.
