Have you ever seen the Fogcutters? They are Portland's amazing cookin-rockin'-swingin'-19-piece big band and they're playing AURA on Thursday in a benefit show for the Maine Academy of Modern Music.

Chords for Kids will also feature performances by MAMM students, a silent auction, and an award ceremony where MAMM will recognize "Rock Stars in Our Communities". The VIP guests will be treated to an acoustic performance by Armies Duo (Dave Gutter & Anna Lombard Music) in Aura's downstairs lounge. There are just a FEW of those VIP tix left.

Hosting the event is WCSH 6's Cindy Williams & Lee Nelson.  The school will be hosting an official after party at Rhum Food + Grog and the restaurant will be donating 10% of all sales to MAMM's scholarship fund.

At the gala, MAMM will be presenting its 2017 CHORDS FOR KIDS "Rock Stars In Our Communities" Awards to Maine Magazine, the Quimby Family FoundationWCYY's Mark Curdo, and University of Maine at Machias Professor Eugene Nichols:
