Portland in the summertime is quickly becoming a place where you can see any thing at any time. That includes random art featuring a character from the popular animated show SpongeBob SquarePants.

The City of Portland was called in to remove a large rendition of Mr. Krabs that was hanging from utility wires along Commercial Street on Monday. If you take a close look at the piece, it's pretty darn good. Seems like a waste to hang it from utility wires knowing that a) it's totally illegal to do that and b) someone is eventually going to come, take it down, and likely confiscate the piece. That should really be hanging on a wall somewhere!

Before it was taken down, several tourists managed to take photos of Mr. Krabs before he was taken away because in the end, we all know that Patrick, Squidward, SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs all belong on the floor of the ocean, not hanging from utility wires in downtown Portland.
