Southern Maine Brewery Releasing Sour Patch Kids Inspired Beer
Definitive Brewing Company
Definitive Brewing Company is a southern Maine favorite. Definitive can be found among the cluster of amazing breweries on Industrial Way in Portland as well as Route 1 in Kittery.
According to their 'About Us' section of their website, the beginning of Definitive was a whirlwind from striking gold in 2017 with a brew and then months later finding a location to set up shop. They opened May 19, 2018, in Portland before expanding to Kittery in 2020.
They're always coming up with new and exciting brews and the latest is a nod to everyone's favorite sour candy, Sour Patch Kids.
First They're Sour, Then They're Sweet
The iconic tagline for Sour Patch Kids, of course, is, "First they're sour, then they're sweet," which perfectly describes what it's like to indulge in the sweet treat.
Definitive Brewing Company collaborated with Odd by Nature Brewing out of Cape Neddick with FTSTTS.
It is, of course, a sour ale with fruity sweetness from mango, passionfruit, pineapple, and even marshmallow. It was even brewed along with sour gummies.
