Fans of Nickelodeon’s Legends of the Hidden Temple were briefly excited, then admittedly curious at news that the beloved game show would return (in the form of a TV movie), and they’ll at least have some familiar faces. Original host Kirk Fogg will return for the new scripted iteration as well, paying homage to his time as a Legends of the Hidden Temple guide.

Last year Nickelodeon announced plans to revive several of our favorite ’90s shows, starting with a special block of programming called “The Splat.” But that’s not all the network has been cooking up for nostalgic fans — they’ve also been developing a new film that will bring many of our favorite ’90s cartoon characters together on the big screen for one big, animated adventure, and the company has found the right creative team to tackle the ambitious project.
