This is the very first Snowshoe Wife Carrying Championship at Sunday River and it happens this Saturday.

Samantha was rescued by two skiers, a doctor and a nurse. But that is all she knows about the two strangers who saved her life 20 years ago.

Sunday River will offer 24-hours of skiing and snowboarding for the first annual 24-Hour Charity Challenge on March 16-17. The event benefits The River Fund, an organization that supports youth enrichment initiatives in the greater Sunday River region.

There's nothing like witnessing 300 skiing and snowboarding Santas gliding down Maine's Sunday River all for a great cause.

Although the resort has not set an official opening date, this test gives Sunday River’s snowmakers the go ahead to crank the system at full capacity.

The North American Wife Carrying Championship takes place at Sunday River right here in Maine every fall. Teams made up of men and women have to make their way through an obstacle course. The wife can be carried any way the team prefers, most teams use the  "Estonian carry" in  which the wife holds the husband by the waist, with her legs wrapped around his neck...
