Temperatures in Maine Will Skyrocket to End the Last Week of Summer

Summer weather seemed to come to a very abrupt end this year. On August 30, the temperature reached 82 at the Portland Jetport. On September 1, it only made it to 68, and since then we've only seen one day of 80 degree weather.

That's going to change this weekend.

News Center Maine's Todd Gutner posted this weather graphic on Twitter Monday showing a forecast that actually looks hot for the final week of summer.

It's a gentle ramp up from 65 on Tuesday to 85 on Sunday.

Enjoy it while you can because fall officially starts on Monday, despite the fact that Halloween candy and pumpkin spice has been everywhere for weeks.
