Finishing their two-night stint at Brooklyn's Barclays Center last night (Sept. 24), the Black Keys went all-out to make sure their New York City fans received an unforgettable show. The energy onstage was electric, but it might have been surpassed by that of the rabid crowd; for nearly two hours, fans pushed to get as close to the action as possible while belting out vocals right alongside Dan Auerbach.

The night was filled with hit after hit, but that didn't keep the Keys from jamming on some old-school tracks, most notably 2003's 'Leavin' Trunk,' a blues-soaked tune that felt like it was born straight out of a garage somewhere in Ohio. And, as expected, fans were treated to the Keys' interpretation of Edwyn Collins' mid-'90s hit, 'A Girl Like You.'

After witnessing the power of the Midwestern duo -- backed with a bassist and keyboardist -- it's hard to argue against the massive impact the Keys are currently making throughout the states. Whether fans knew every single song or not, the hooks were catchy enough to keep them jumping up and down and the rhythms kept them far away from boredom or fatigue.

Setting the stage for the evening were Cage the Elephant, an equally enthusiastic and energetic act fronted by the inimitable Matt Shultz. It took about two songs for Shultz to jump off the arena's stage and into the crowd, and throughout the set he became sweatier and sweatier, and in turn, less and less clothed. With hits like 'Take It or Leave It,' 'Ain't No Rest for the Wicked' and 'Come a Little Closer,' Cage the Elephant's performance was received more like that of a headliner, not an opening act.

The Black Keys are on the road through mid-December (with Cage the Elephant as support through the end of September). Get the full tour schedule here. And check out our exclusive photos of last night's gig -- and get the evening's setlist -- below:
