There’s A New Taco Bell Location Coming To Portland

Portland has multiple locations of the most popular fast-food restaurants in the country. You'll find Subway, McDonald's and Burger Kings throughout the city. But up until this most recent tidbit of news, Portland had been devoid of one fast-food franchise that often is listed as people's favorite, Taco Bell.

According to the Portland Press Herald, a brand new Taco Bell location will open 1363 Washington Ave in the building that formerly housed neighborhood favorite Sala Thai. It will be Portland's first official location for Taco Bell. Currently there is a Taco Bell/KFC located in Westbrook and there was formerly a Taco Bell in the Maine Mall.

As for Sala Thai, the neighborhood favorite appears to be closing not by their choice. As the Press Herald details, a letter to customers was posted on the door of the restaurant from the owner stating that the landlord of the property had sold the building and that Sala Thai's last day of operation would be July 16th.

There is currently no timetable for how quickly the Taco Bell will be constucted and then opened.
