Over the last few years, we have really stepped-up our Halloween game here in New England.  It wasn't that long ago that you'd have to drive for hours to get to a basic haunted house.  Now, it seems like every town, now matter how small, has at least a basic haunted house.

And, if you are willing to take a drive, you can find dozens of professional haunted houses.

If you love haunted attractions and you're willing to make the trip, you need to check out Spooky World's Nightmare New England in Litchfield, New Hampshire.

The entire haunt covers 80 acres and features a series of different attractions.

There is a haunted hayride...  No, it's not just another trip to the pumpkin patch.  It is way more terrifying than that!  This is a legit scream your head off haunted hayride.

Asylum '47 is a walk through an insane asylum.

The Colony is described as "renovated labyrinth of chaos" that takes you down the trails of terror and deep into the woods.

There is also a midway that features zombie paintball, there are concessions, and there's even a beer garden.

Take a look:

It reminds me a lot of The Ghoullog attraction that Cranmore Mountain Resort used to host.

The attraction is open Thursday, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through Halloween night.  Tickets range in price from $60 to $75.  Yes, the tickets are kind of pricey, but since you'll need to spend the night there to see everything it seems worth it.
