This DIY Mailbox Could Only Be Found on a Dirt Road in Maine
It's almost winter, which means it's almost snowplow season. Unfortunately, snowplows often take out the precious post office vessels at the end of our driveways. Those things are expensive to replace. Why buy a brand new metal mailbox with an elaborate wooden or pipe-constructed post when you can DIY it? This crafty Mainer on an undisclosed backroad turned one man's trash (presumably his own) into a new mailbox.
It appears the mail receptacle is constructed of a Tidy Cats cat litter bucket. In reality, the idea is brilliant as the existing lid of the bucket functions much like a mailbox door anyway.
May the man behind the mailbox was trying to make a statement about the mail he receives. Bills, store flyers, and solicitations from credit card companies... It's all crap anyway.
