This Maine Ice Cream Shop Doesn’t Have a Drive Thru But it Does Have a Boat Dock [PHOTOS]
You're out enjoying a day on the boat, but are really craving ice cream. In most cases you're out of luck, unless you're boating on Long Lake in Harrison.
When Long Lake Creamery on Main Street in Harrison Maine opened in June of 2015, it brought something with it that not many places can offer. A boat dock.
Sitting just back from Long Lake and next to Harrison's Village Tie Up Market and Deli, Long Lake Creamery is one of those rare places in Maine where you can pull up in your boat, tie it up and grab an ice cream.
They're open everyday for the summer from noon to 10PM. We recommend grabbing a cone and sitting by the lake as the sun sets. They're cash only, but there's an ATM next door at the Tie Up, which also has everything you need for your boat trip on the lake, including gas.
