This Old Photo of a “Maine School Bus” Reminds Us to be Grateful for Technology
Maine winters are brutal, said captain obvious. And thus, he was right.
One thing I remember about growing up in Maine in the winter was the bus rides to school in the morning. Smelly, seatbelt-less, and cold, because there was ALWAYS that one kid who HAD to have the window open, regardless of how cold it was outside. My memories may not be pleasant, but I think I may have been taking technological advancements for granted when I look at this photo.
I don't have any evidence to back up the validity of this photo, but nonetheless, it looks a little less than cozy. Shared to the Maine Reddit page yesterday by user SueBid, this crude vehicle goes to show that we've got a lot to be thankful for.
