Three Dollar Dewey’s In Portland’s Old Port Sets Grand Re-Opening Date
What a rollercoaster 2018 was if you're a fan of Three Dollar Dewey's in Portland's Old Port. A sudden closure left longtime patrons stunned and dismayed. That was followed by the belief that one of Portland's oldest restaurants and bars was through for good. Months later, we all found out that someone had purchased the business, was doing some renovations and Three Dollar Dewey's would reopen again. And finally, we know exactly WHEN that will be.
Three Dollar Dewey's shared that they will reopen on March 1st, 2019. There will be a few shiny new improvements to the interior of the building, but the general charm will remain the same. One big difference patrons will notice is a brand new menu. Poutine and a selection of sliders are new to the app portion, while Dewey's has updated their pub fare to include a lobster grilled cheese sandwich, their take on shepards pie as well as an upscale Mac and cheese bowl with added options.
Two things that are definitely staying the same? The tap lines of local craft beer that made Dewey's a local favorite are sticking around. Not only that, that delicious FREE popcorn will also be a mainstay. Dewey's being open just in time for St. Patrick's Day celebrations is also a win for Portland.
Good luck to the "new" Dewey's, we can't wait to see it!
