Who doesn't love Christmas displays filled with bright, colorful, twinkling lights illuminating the night sky?

The holidays are the time for spreading joy and cheer, and it's always nice to drive through different neighborhoods and see the light-up displays that people put up for the season. It's a free serotonin boost for everyone, and puts a smile on everyone's faces.

Thanks to a list provided by The FW, we now know 25 of the most over-the-top Christmas displays across the country. We're not talking about your everyday front lawn decorations (although we're big fans of those, too). Nope. We're talking about the places that give Clark Griswold from Christmas Vacation a run for his money. Remember this scene from the 1989 film?

Well, it turns out that a Maine location was featured on The FW's list, and it's none other than the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay.

The Gardens are currently operating their ninth annual Gardens Aglow exhibit, running now through December 31. The Gardens' website provides more information about the iconic light display:

With more than 750,000 LED lights woven through 14 acres of central gardens, the Gardens is amplifying the brightest light display in Maine with new designs and sustainability initiatives. Join us to experience illuminated trails, nature-inspired sculptures, themed areas, and swaths of light and undulating effects all conspiring to create an immersive experience.

How magical does this look? Talk about the perfect way to spend a holiday evening with your friends, family, or partner.
