The time has finally come and I couldn't be more excited for it.

Turnstile, one of the most energetic and raucous bands you can see live is finally coming to Portland, Maine.

WCYY presents Turnstile at Thompson's Point on Saturday, September 26.

Tickets will go on sale for this show Friday, June 26 at 10am.

Turnstile is a Band That Has Become a Must-See Performance

There's absolutely a little bias in my words when it comes to the band Turnstile.

Several years ago, i was invited by someone in the record industry to check out this "new" band called Turnstile. They weren't new. The band was formed in 2010 and had a lengthy touring history.

But their album Glow On had really put the shine on them. And people were noticing.

My introduction to Turnstile live was at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts. I've been lucky enough to attend hundreds of concerts and you know when the energy is up for a band to hit the stage. The energy that night was off the charts.

The moment the lights went down and Turnstile played their first note, i could tell something was different.

Turnstile Brings The Same Energy to Every Single Concert

For 90 minutes that night in Worcester, there was sing alongs, stage diving, crowd surfing and a whole lot of sweat. I left the Palladium that night feeling like I had just seen the next big thing.

I've seen Turnstile three other times since and every single time I leave their show believing its a band that will carry the alternative rock genre forward for the next decade.

Last year, Turnstile released their critically-acclaimed new album Never Enough which scored them a Grammy award. Their first performance in Portland, Maine, on September 26 will be on to remember in support of this new album.
