When you're a shop that sells skateboards and gear and you plan to move to a new location less than a mile away, why just tell people where you're going when you can board to it?

Sarah Long, meteorologist at WMTW Channel 8, and her husband Tom opened Long's Board Shop on Western Avenue in South Portland in 2012. In those five years, they've grown quickly to become the go to store in southern Maine for skateboards, snowboards, gear and apparel and a gathering place for boarders to talk shop.

With growth comes the need for new and bigger digs, so in March they will be opening in their new location in the renovated Clark's Pond Shopping Center in South Portland, less than a mile from their current location. The opening will also happen to coincide with the store's 5 year anniversary.

So to announce the move, they posted a video on their Facebook page of how to get from the old location to the new by skateboard with a GoPro and some very careful moves on a few icy sidewalks.
