Watch: Dutch Punk Singer Catches Cup Full of Beer Mid-Air While Crowd-Surfing
It’s takes a certain amount of bravado to be the lead singer of a rock band. This past weekend, Dutch singer David Achter de Molen of the punk group John Coffey proved he's got what it takes to impress a crowd.
His band was performing at the Pinkpop Fest in Landgraaf, Netherlands, when something magical happened. In one smooth motion, while walking on top of the crowd, Achter de Molen caught a cup full of beer that was thrown in his direction, drank it and discarded it. The ease and nonchalance of the entire video sequence above is something to be admired. Make sure to watch the short clip.
While music and sports are often viewed as two very separate categories, there are certain musicians that can’t help but show off their athleticism while performing. For instance, Slipknot’s Sid Wilson comes to mind. His ability to successfully survive death-defying stage dives, never fails to impress. We even compiled his 20 most epic dives for you to enjoy in the video below. And as you probably suspected he’s not the only one who likes to leap off the stage, Eddie Vedder, Iggy Pop, Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix and more have all taken their turn free falling. You can watch their efforts below as well.
