Viral Street Fight Video Is Not A Good Look For Lewiston [NSFW]

Lewiston continues to work hard to shed the image that it is a dead end community, with a  lack of progress and potential for those that live there. And while there has been a lot of positive movement in the twin cities of Maine, when social media videos like this go viral, it can tarnish the perception of progress.

Shared on Facebook by Nicki Doyle, a street fight between several people was caught on video. This video has already been viewed over 100,000 times and continues to swell. It appears it was shot in front of Poirier's Market, a small grocery store located in downtown Lewiston on Walnut Street.

There's nothing to add to this video that you can't see for yourself. Most of the comments either feature commentary on how you can expect to see this in Lewiston or how drug and alcohol addiction are still an ongoing and serious issue in the downtown area. Many of Maine's communities are affected by situations similar to this.
