Zombies Run Amok in Portland
Several Portland residents gathered to watch Hollywood film crews shoot some scenes on Federal Street for "Night of the Living Deb," a romantic comedy that involves lots of zombies.
According to the Portland Press Herald, the film is directed by Kyle Rankin, formerly of York, Maine, and has been shot in several locations around the city. The film's Facebook page describes it as "a female-driven action-horror rom-com set in the world of a zombie apocalypse on Christmas."
Monday's filming closed down India Street between Middle and Federal streets between 8:30 a.m. and noon and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A Portland Police Officer who was working traffic at the movie shoot said the film crews would eventually move on to Scarborough when they finish shooting in the city.
