A Haunted Hotel in Boston Will Host a ‘Stranger Things’ Halloween Bash This October
'Tis the season for all things Halloween, and the iron has never been more hot when it comes to Netflix's smash hit 'Stranger Things'. The latest season of the show was filled with more horror than ever, and lends itself perfectly to having an entire Halloween bash built around it. According to Timeout.com, one 'haunted' hotel in Boston intends to do just that with a full-scale party for those that want to flashback to the '80s with a touch of demogorgons, the upside down, and maybe a few ghosts, too.
The Liberty Hotel in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood will be the setting for the '80s 'Stranger Things' Halloween party on Saturday, October 29. The party will be a melding of Halloween and many elements of 'Stranger Things' that people have come to know and love. The bash will include specialty cocktails inspired by the Netflix show, as well as entertainment from DJs who will probably find a way to mix "Master of Puppets" and "Running Up That Hill" into the setlist.
The Liberty Hotel may be the absolute perfect setting for a party like this. According to Ghost City Tours, before it was the Liberty Hotel, the space was actually a notorious prison in Boston. The Liberty has been plagued by reviews online for years from guests who claim to have experienced substantial temperature drops and hearing cell block doors slam or heavy boots stomping around hallways. Despite over $100 million in renovations, the Liberty Hotel can't dispel its history, and the unexplained encounters are proof.
For fans of the macabre, the haunting of the Liberty only makes a Halloween party there more interesting. Add in some 'Stranger Things', and it's a recipe for success. The Halloween party takes place on Saturday, October 29, from 9pm until 1:30am. Ticket details are coming soon.
