New Food Truck Park Set to Open in Belfast, Maine, This Summer
Now that Maine is firmly established as a culinary destination for travelers, many of the visitors to the state want to try as much Maine cuisine as they can in a short amount of time. One of the ways to accomplish that? Smaller bites courtesy of food trucks.
Food trucks have found footing in the Pine Tree State. From festivals to concerts to parking outside of breweries, the mobile food game has never been stronger in Maine.
And it's about to get a little bit stronger as a new food truck park is set to open in 2025 along a busy section of Route 1 in Belfast.
Coastal Bites Taking Over the Space Left Behind by the Wentworth Convention Center
The new food truck park will be called Coastal Bites and it will live up to the name. The park will sit on the former site of the Wentworth Convention Center, overlooking the gorgeous Penobscot Bay.
The Wentworth Convention Center unfortunately folded due to the an accidental fire in 2023. But with that came an opportunity and while the food truck park won't be a destination for weddings and anniversaries, it will allow people to still enjoy the same stunning views.
Coastal Bites Hopes to Be Open By the Beginning of Summer 2025
Signage has already been placed and when the winter freeze is finished, some finishing touches will be put on the space at 139 Searsport Avenue. Similar to Maine's most prodigious food truck park, Congdon's in Wells, Coastal Bites hopes to be a gathering spot for both locals and passers through during Maine's busy summer months.
Coastal Bites is currently asking for interested food trucks to reach out to them as planning has already begun for the 2025 season.
