Burlington Set to Open Another New Location in Maine

Just like customers inside their stores, Burlington has a knack for finding a good deal.

A couple of years ago, Burlington saw a vacancy in South Portland that was just down the road from the store they currently operated. That vacant location offered better visibility and foot traffic. The brand didn't hesitate to make the move.

Burlington is up to their old tricks in a different Maine city now. That would be Bangor, where Burlington has operated a store for years on Springer Drive.

Burlington closed that location to prepare for a move to 6 Bangor Mall Road in a spot that offers better visibility and foot traffic. Sound familiar?

The grand opening for the new Burlington location in Bangor, Maine, is expected to take place on Friday, September 26.

Unlike several other retailers in the 'discount' retail space, Burlington is thriving. According to USA Today, Burlington will open 19 new stores nationwide over the next several months with plans for additional expansion in 2026.

That could mean another store in Maine, as well. Auburn and Brunswick are potential landing spots if the off-price retailer decides to further their footprint in Vacationland.
