Costco Food Court Lovers in Scarborough, Maine, Will Notice a Change in 2025
Costco has only been open a short time in Maine, but people have already fallen in love with the warehouse store for a variety of different reasons. It's cheap gas, it's wide selection of fresh meats, produce and bakery items as well as its cost-efficient pharmacy.
And then, there's the food court. Costco in Scarborough, Maine, has a small but mighty food court that features everything from ice cream sundaes to a full pizza. All of the Costco food offerings are cheaper than you'll find pretty much anywhere else. But there is a change coming very soon.
According to Delish, Costco's contract with Pepsi is set to expire at the end of 2024. Costco's food court is set to feature Coca-Cola products starting at the beginning of 2025. That will mean a significant change to the other varieties at the soda fountain as well. Say goodbye to Mountain Dew and hello to Fanta, Sprite and Root Beer.
The good news? There shouldn't be a price change involved. Costco has been offering their fountain beverages at an obscenely low price for years now and despite a flip from Pepsi to Coke products, a price hike doesn't seem to be involved.
The food court soda switch isn't the only change Costco is making in 2025. The warehouse giant plans to scale back its book offerings for the majority of the year. Instead of a Costco book table being available year-round, Costco is only going to carry books in their stores from September through December.
