Every Parent Can Relate to This Durham, Maine, Couple’s Hilarious Text Exchange

All jokes aside, for most, this Durham, Maine, couple will 100% be seen as relationship goals -- absolutely crushing the parenting life while also still having fun with each other in a sarcastic way, much like A-list superstars Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are famous for doing in their marriage.

The cool part about this, though, is that Caroline and Tom aren't A-list Hollywood stars -- they're normal everyday Mainers like us.

The unexpected, interesting, part in all of this, though, is this entire hilarious exchange centers not only around their son, Michael, but also a super popular children's TV show character.

If you're a parent or a super-involved cool Aunt or cool Uncle or even a Nanny of some little nugget children, then you know exactly who Blippi is. Available on both YouTube and Netflix, Blippi is a super popular children's show that follows the main character, Blippi, as he explores exciting things like fire trucks and amazing places like zoos, all while teaching children about numbers, shapes, colors, etc.

And, like many other popular children's shows, an on-stage adaptation of Blippi is making the rounds across the country, and tonight (Wednesday, September 27, 2023), 'Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour,' will have a performance at the Merrill Auditorium.

And that's where the hilarity with Caroline and Tom kicks in because while debating whether or not to bring Michael (who is a huge Blippi fan) to the show tonight, the following exchange that pretty much every parent can relate to took place.

Clearly, Caroline and Tom are in the depths of potty training Michael, which, it doesn't take a parent to realize is no easy task. Also not an easy task, is to keep the fun attitude that Caroline and Tom clearly have in their relationship -- not just after becoming parents or being in the midst of potty training, but just in general.
