Everything You Need to Know About Smitty’s Cinema Reopening
It's crazy to think about, but the last time I caught a movie was at the end of December. The world has largely been at a standstill for the past few months and the entertainment industry has felt it pretty hard. Movie production and releases have been postponed, some were released directly to streaming, and we haven't been able to get with our favorite people for a movie night out.
Well, that's about to change.
Smitty's Cinema locations across the state are reopening July 17th. While things still aren't business as usual, they are doing everything within their power to offer a fun and safe movie experience.
The first big change is contactless seat reservations. The system will ensure safe social distancing while in the theater.
One element that makes Smitty's unique is their in-theater dining experience. Going forward, you'll now be able to do contactless pay via theater WiFi.
Smitty's is also ensuring guests that their employee's health will be checked regularly, practicing safe food handling, and wearing masks and gloves.
Due to state guidelines, guests will be required to wear masks except when eating or drinking. To see full details you can visit their website, here.
So, what about the movies?! Well, Smitty's is bringing back some favorites and for a deal. All movies just $4! And Jaws will have 1970s pricing of just $2. Some of the other movies on deck for opening day include; Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and Iron Man.
