
Fryeburg Fair in Maine Announces New Event For 2025
It's officially fair season in Maine and for most people, that's centered around a visit to the state's largest fair in Fryeburg.
Operating a fair the size of the Fryeburg Fair is a delicate balance. You want people to get that rush of nostalgia and familiarity while still ensuring that there's new events, food and entertainment for people to experience.
With that in mind, 2025 will usher in a new era for the blue ribbon classic. The Fryeburg Fair is set to expand by a single day. This year, the fair will begin on Saturday, September 27 and they'll do so with a brand new event that is sure to thrill audiences.
Fryeburg Fair Announces Lawnmower Racing As a New Event in 2025
On the brand new Saturday of the Fryeburg Fair, there will be a brand new event making its debut.
The Fryeburg Fair will hold their inaugural lawnmower races on Saturday, September 27. The races will kick off in the 1pm with an enthusiastic audience cheering on the competitors from the grandstand.
The hope is that lawnmower racing will be another signature event for the fair each other.
There Will Be 6 Different Classes of Competition For Lawnmower Racing at the Fryeburg Fair
During its inaugural lawnmower racing event, there will be six different classes of competition at the Fryeburg Fair.
Those classes include:
- stock
- single cylinder modified
- twin cylinder modified
- super modified
- over 50
- women's
The super modified competition could be the wildest of them all.
