
Cooper Flagg Named Topps Basketball Cover Star for 2025-26
Ahead of his rookie season with the Dallas Mavericks, the 18-year-old from Maine has been announced as the new face of Topps.
Getting on the cover of anything is exciting in itself, whether it’s a video game or SLAM magazine—a publication Flagg has already graced several times in his young career.

Topps has officially regained the NBA trading card license, a deal that Panini had exclusively held since 2010.
Topps has lost and regained the NBA card license before, including from 1982 to 1992, when they missed the chance to produce Michael Jordan’s rookie card. This time, however, they won’t miss the opportunity to create a Cooper Flagg rookie card.

Not only will Topps be making a Cooper Flagg rookie card, but they’re going all in on the hype surrounding the Maine phenom.
On Thursday, Topps announced that Flagg will be the cover athlete for the 2025-26 collection of trading cards, which hits store shelves on October 23rd.
While the trading cards will hit shelves on October 23rd, fans won’t have to wait long to see him in action either.
Flagg will suit up for the Mavericks in preseason on October 6th against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder, before making his official NBA debut on October 22nd versus the San Antonio Spurs.

And there you have it! Topps is returning to produce NBA trading cards, and Cooper Flagg will be the face of their comeback season.
