If you're one of those people who refuses to admit summer is over until you've had one more fried dough, one more ride, and at least one ridiculously large pumpkin... I've got good news babe.

Maine fair season isn't over yet!

There are still plenty of chances to get in some Maine fair fun before the season officially ends.

September and October are truly packed with fairs featuring everything we love about fall in Maine: food, animals, rides, music, contests, and plenty of reasons to wear a sweatshirt.

One of the big ones is the Farmington Fair, running September 20th–26th.

Then there's the Common Ground Country Fair in Unity, September 24th–27th, which is always a favorite for anyone who loves Maine agriculture, local food, and all things earthy and crunchy.

And then... there's Fryeburg Fair.

If you know, you know. The annual fall tradition runs October 4th –11th and is basically the grand finale of Maine fair season.

Think rides, animals, food, music, competitions, and enough fair food to make you question every decision you've made that day.

There's also the Cumberland Fair, September 27th–October 3rd, another Maine classic and yes, the giant pumpkin and squash competitions are part of the fun.
