Some Mainers Say This Westbrook Parking Lot the Most Difficult Lot to Drive Through

Any parking lot can be difficult if you just let me drive.

I think a lot of people really enjoy the fact that the state of Maine is super low-key, very laid-back, but I also think there are certain times when it's almost a downfall.

A lot of parking lots lack signs, directions, or patient people, so I had to phone a friend on this one. By phone a friend I really mean take the question to the people and crowdsource some answers as to what the most frustrating parking lot to maneuver through near them is.

Market Basket's parking lot in Westbrook had gotten the most votes from drivers in Maine from the people I polled.

As a current resident of Westbrook, I have to say I'd agree.

Here's the thing though, Market Basket is my favorite grocery store, and I'll never stop going to it, but there's one major reason (I think) for their parking lot feeling so uncontrolled. Maine's ONLY, emphasis on the word only, Chick-fil-a is also located in this same parking lot. Chick-fil-a is quite literally everybody's favorite fast food joint, and if you're disagreeing with me right now then explain why the drive-thru line is constantly rolling over into the street.

You know it's true too if you're a frequent flier in Westbrook. You will never see Chick-fil-a without a double line wrapping around the building.

It's just science though, Market Basket & a conglomerate chicken establishment can't just share a parking lot and expect all the traffic to run smoothly.

It's enough to give me an anxiety attack but will I continue going to both establishments all the time? Absolutely, I'll just remember to bring my breathing exercises.
