A Favorite Maine Pizza Place Barstool’s Dave Portnoy Has Reviewed

I could write about Dave Portnoy and his ignorantly hilarious pizza reviews every day of my life and still have something to say about the empire he's created.

It's a sick obsession I have really, but he's brilliant at making a living off of the entire world hating him. Work smarter not harder, go boy.

Anyways, in 2023 he finally gave Portland their chance at pizza fame and reviewed Flatbread, Slab, Pizzaiolo, Monte's, Miccuci's, and Belleville.

Slab Sicilian Street Food

This spot was my absolute favorite pizzeria in the entire city. I have to say was because my worst nightmare came to life when they closed their doors in 2024 permanently.

Deep dish is my jam, but it wasn't exactly Portnoy's says his 6.6 ranking.

My favorite line in this review is,

"I wish people understood how hard it is to get off of adderal, every memory is a struggle to get to".

Slab Sicilian Food Frozen Dough Locations

The good news is, Slab's pizza dough isn't gone from our lives forever. They're still selling their frozen dough available in specific places across Maine and the rest of New England.

I think most of Portland would agree with me that not only did Slab's pizza deserve more than a 6.6, but we also miss their fluffy, chewy pizza so bad it hurts.
