Holy Donut’s Newest Maine Location Gets Official Opening Date

Throughout the beginning of December, the Holy Donut crew began teasing the opening of a brand new fifth location, obviously located somewhere in Maine. They finally revealed toward the end of the month that the new location would be in Brunswick.

Following the announcement, they began working on getting the brand new location ready for opening, both cosmetically inside and out, but practically as well. The closer they got, they began operating a little pop up food truck right in the parking lot of their brand new Brunswick location, located on Route 1 right next to the Washville Car Wash.

For years, now, not only Mainers, but most definitely tourists and other people from away have been going insane over Holy Donut.

The smorgasbord of both sweet and savory flavors. The multiple gluten free options. The allergy-friendly potato donuts that easily just melt right in your mouth -- it's like a little bit of Heaven before it's officially your time.

Not that you need proof that Maine and people from away -- tourists or not -- love them some Holy Donut, but if for whatever reason you do, the proof is in the fact that location after location keeps popping up to make life way more deliciously convenient.

For a while, they were making the more Coastal part of Maine and a bit of the Turnpike corridor their spot, with locations in Arundel, one a little further up the Turnpike in Scarborough, and a couple more that expand to the beginning of 295 located in Portland.

And now, we finally have an opening date for their brand new fifth location in Brunswick.

On Friday, May 17, 2024, Holy Donut will say goodbye to their pop-up trailer in the Brunswick location's parking lot and fully open for operation in their brand new facility. And not only have they promised plenty of room inside, but for a nice change of pace, there's also a ridiculous amount of parking, plus a Drive Thru.

By the way, a pro tip from some of the Holy Donut staff for the upcoming summer months.

If you're looking for an absolute flavor explosion in your mouth, when the blueberry donut rolls out for their summer menu, combine it with a maple bacon donut. According to the staff, it apparently tastes like "a blueberry pancake covered in maple syrup and topped with bacon."
