First Spaceship Looking Tesla Cybertruck Sighting in Portland, Maine
I friggin' knew that the 2024 eclipse was going to finally bring us aliens to earth. Is this a spaceship on wheels? Or a tank made from chrome that looks like it's from outer space? Nope, it's just the new Tesla Cyber Truck that looks like it has no business being on the road, much less on the roads in hippie town USA, Portland, Maine.
Quick disclaimer for the little Internet haters out there: this is no hate to the Cyber Truck, I promise. It's just so wild to me, because it looks like every concept car that doesn't actually get made, but this one does. In fact, when I first saw this truck parked outside our little Portland post office, it was actually the first time I genuinely thought I was hallucinating without the drugs.
I mean, imagine aimlessly driving through the Old Port, casually sipping on your iced Dunkin' coffee, things are great in the world and then you see this:
What's the best way I can describe this "truck"? Well, my friend (who has one) described it as a pickup-meets-luxury, considering the back hatch opens up and it becomes a pickup.
According to caranddriver, a Cyber Truck is a "6901-pound electric pickup truck that can tow 11,000 pounds and also hits 60 mph in 2.6 seconds, which matches the time we recorded from the Lamborghini Huracan STO".
You're about to see more of these mobile spaceships, because they first came out back in November. According to businessinsider.com, the Cybertruck is only available in North America.
