It’s basically the perfect meal for any situation—honestly, there’s even a whole world built around breakfast burritos.

Now that we’re all craving burritos, it’s probably a good time to figure out who has the best one in Maine. One national website says it’s a Mexican restaurant right in the heart of Portland’s Arts District that stands above the rest.

Then the real fun begins, with rice, beans, queso fresco, red cabbage, pico de gallo, and a little crema. You can also add guacamole (yes, please) or even smother it with cheese and other toppings—kind of like what you’d do with hash browns at Waffle House. This thing is an absolute tank and definitely not for the faint of heart.

This is great publicity for a Maine small business that continues to thrive—and a place that’s definitely in my regular Portland rotation.
