They’re Multiplying: Another Parking Offender Joins This Maine Menace

We all know life can be difficult at times.

Whether it’s the trials and tribulations of everyday monotony in modern society or just dealing with a jerk, the bottom line is that nothing comes easy.

So, it’s extraordinarily annoying when someone does something to negatively affect your life, especially when it's so much easier to just do the right thing.

I bring this up because I continue to deal with something that is literally tearing at the very fiber of my sanity.

Bad Parking in Maine Garage

I wrote an article a while back about a silly goose who has been terrorizing my parking garage by positioning their car in more than one spot. Here's an image as a reminder.

Just exceptional work, if you ask me.

Sadly, since posting the original article, this parking prankster has done nothing but continue their full-scale campaign against civility. It’s still a very common occurrence to see this SUV right smack in the middle of two spaces.

It’s almost as if they read my article and are now just trolling me. If that’s the case, then I give them my respect.

Even if it is an amazing troll job, it doesn’t change the fact that we still have someone with a blatant disregard for even a minimum amount of human decency.

Bad Parking on the Rise in Maine

However, we already know about suspect number one. The reason I write this today is that our silly goose has been joined by a birdbrain, and I’m not sure how much more I can handle.

Just look at this parking massacre.

They have multiplied like an infestation of rats in a New York subway tunnel.

Why is this happening? More importantly, why is this happening to me? I have done nothing to deserve this. It’s like some kind of bad dream, where you scream but nobody ever hears you.

Now, maybe our second parking-challenged friend just got caught in a domino effect, due to suspect number one's poor choices. Maybe they had a freak-out and decided it was best to give the larger SUV a wide berth. Or maybe they are just as guilty as our original friend. No matter the case, it has to stop.

How to Fix the Maine Parking Problem

The only logical question at this point is: what is my next step? Is it time for action? Absolutely. And I already have a few ideas on how to rectify the situation...legally.

1. Leave Them a Note – I guess it would be two notes now. Nothing too serious, just a gentle reminder of how important it is to be a courteous human.
2. Leave Them My Articles – Perhaps a little humility will go a long way with these provocateurs.
3. Wait Beside Their Vehicles Until They Show Up – Probably not advisable.
4. Just Keep Complaining on the Internet – Listen, this works best for all. I can keep complaining about an issue while not doing anything to fix it. It’s the true American way.

So, more than likely, I’m just going to keep complaining on the internet because it’s easier and more fun. But a man can dream that things will change for the better.

Here’s hoping the rest of those in this parking garage have seen this travesty and understand that the rest of us need to do our part to keep society together. It’s time for more people to speak up.
