Late Night Breakfast Buffet Coming to Durham, New Hampshire
This writer is just a few years out of college (aka a solid decade and a half) but there was nothing I loved more in those days than a late night breakfast moment.
I went to the University of Massachusetts Amherst and our late night breaky spot was the Route 9 Diner. I actually worked there for a brief stint but I much preferred to be a customer. After a late night study session at the library or a drink session at McMurphy's nothing hit the spot quite like a fat stack of pancakes from the Route 9 Diner at 12:30 at night.
I know I am not alone when I express my adoration of breakfast as a dinner/late night option. Here are the top reasons people love it:
It's Comforting and Nostalgic
Pancakes, eggs, bacon and the whole breakfast food family are often associated with comfort and warmth. Eating them at night just feels cozy. It also brings us back to a time where we had less responsibility: Our childhoods. Remember the good old days when someone would make you breakfast every day?
There is Such a Wide Variety
We love a dish that can be tailored to your mood. Are you feeling like satisfying your sweet tooth? Indulge in a delicious waffle with butter and maple syrup. Craving something lighter and savory? A mushroom and spinach omelet should go down smooth!
It’s Flirty and Fun!
There’s something playful about eating breakfast foods at unexpected times! It’s a fun way to mix up your routine and break out of the regular dinner cycle.
I can only imagine how overjoyed the students of the University of New Hampshire are to hear that they are getting a late night breakfast buffet option on Main Street in Durham.
The Blue Flame took to Facebook to share that they will be opening in just a few short weeks next to Campus Creamery. Get excited for great drinks, live music and of course their famous late night breakfast buffet!
We are so looking forward to this! We will keep you posted as soon as we hear a firm opening date.
