Jordan’s Furniture Is Coming To Maine

Exciting news for furniture shoppers in Maine! According to WGME, Jordan's Furniture announced that they are opening a location at the Maine Mall in South Portland. It will be located in the former Filene’s/Bon-Ton’s store. If all goes as planned, the new location will be open in the spring of 2020.

Jordan's has been in the furniture business in New England for over a hundred years. According to Wikipedia, the company was started by Samuel Tatelman in 1918 in Waltham, Massachusetts. Since then, the business has been passed down through generations, and is currently run by Eliot Tatelman. They operate seven locations throughout New England.

Jordan's promises to include an entertainment attraction at their new Maine Mall location. Some of their other stores include IMAX theatres, restaurants, and an indoor ropes course.

The news of Jordan's Furniture's arrival in Maine comes just over a month after Bernie + Phyl's Furniture announced that they will be moving into the old Toys R Us building, right across the street from the Maine Mall.
