Jonathan Davis is getting ready to release his debut solo album Black Labyrinth and has already started working on Korn's follow up to 2016's The Serenity of Suffering, yet he's already looking further down the rabbit hole and has revealed that he wants to write a musical.

“A long time ago, I was talking to Clive Barker about doing a dark, fucked-up musical, but people get busy and it didn’t happen," he told Kerrang. "It’s definitely on my bucket list to do a really dark, metal musical – not some stupid-ass one.”

In 2001, Davis worked with Barker and composer Richard Gibbs to create a DVD featuring 12 original Barker paintings and a soundtrack by Davis and Gibbs. Davis and Gibbs also worked together to score the 2002 vampire film Queen of the Damned.

Last week, Davis released the Black Labyrinth track "Basic Needs," and in January he dropped the song "What It Is," which also appears in the soundtrack to the film American Satan. Davis is currently on the road supporting Black Labyrinth, which comes out May 25, and a list of remaining stops can be seen here.

Korn will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their most commercially successful album Follow the Leader with three special concerts — September 12 in San Francisco, September 13 in Los Angeles and September 15 in Las Vegas. They will be the only shows the band will play in 2018.
