Beat Winter by Floating Down This Indoor Lazy River in New England
If you feel like the winter blues have set in, you're not alone. Many people struggle with the colder temperatures, snowy forecasts, and lack of daylight in Maine. If you're longing for a taste of summertime but can't afford to fly to the Caribbean, perhaps a shorter road trip is just the fix.
Right outside of Boston, there's an indoor water park that may be the solution to your winter blues. It's called the Water Park of New England, and it offers a variety of fun attractions including a chance to relax and float down a lazy river in the dead of the cold season.
The Water Park of New England is a family-friendly place to visit. Most of its indoor water park activities are catered towards kids of all ages. Their interactive water-filled jungle gym is a favorite for just about everyone, while smaller kids may enjoy splash pads and short waterslides.
For thrill seekers, the Water Park of New England offers four different indoor slides. Some require a raft, and others just require some bravery. These attractions are meant for bigger kids and adults.
But the true gem is a lazy river perfect for just about everyone. Grab a tube and put the frustrations of the season behind you for a couple of hours. If one day isn't enough, there's plenty of lodging nearby to make an entire weekend of it.
The Water Park of New England is open during the winter on Fridays from 4pm until 9pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11am until 7pm. For February vacation, they'll be open the entire week from 11am until 7pm.
