
Revamped Lewiston, Maine, Mall Won’t Include Mr. Drew and His Animals Too
For the last two years, Mr. Drew and His Animals Too have wow visitors to his rescue and education center inside the Lewiston Mall. The draw of exotic animal exhibits have brought tens of thousands of people into the Lewiston Mall but that's all about to come to an end.
Drew Desjardins posted a heartfelt 17-minute video to his social media on Monday evening, explaining that the education center would need to vacate the Lewiston Mall by the end of July. The explanation boiled down to one thing, mall management was prepared to move in a different direction.
Mr. Drew and His Animals Too Will Once Again Look For a New Place to Call Home
In his video, Drew Desjardins states that his isn't done with his education center. He and his wife are in the process of attempting to find another location in the Lewiston area to move into.
According to the Sun-Journal, this isn't a new process for Mr. Drew. He was forced to move his education center out of the Pepperell Mill before landing on his feet inside the Lewiston Mall in 2023. The community rallied with donations the last time Mr. Drew needed to move and it appears the same zest for donations will be available this time.
Lewiston Mall is Restructuring With New Additions
It's possible that Mr. Drew leaked some information during his social media post that the public was unaware of. While mall management was moving on from the education center, it appears the Lewiston is going to welcome at least a couple of new tenants.
O'Reilly Auto Parts and a new Hannaford location are part of the reason Mr. Drew gave as to why the mall was moving on from the exotic pet facility. There could be a third new tenant to the Lewiston Mall by the end of this year as well.
