Maine Woman Accused Of Using Food Stamps To Buy Bottled Water, Dumping It, Returning Bottles For Cash
The 57 year old woman accused of scamming the state of Maine out of money claims that she is innocent.
According to the Bangor Daily News, 57 year old Linda Goodman of Norway, Maine plead not guilty to charges that she duped the state out of food stamp money. Goodman is accused of buying $125 worth of bottled water, dumping it out, and then returning the bottles for roughly $38 of cash.
If Goodman is convicted of the accusations, she could face nearly a year in prison as well as a hefty fine. Here is her mugshot courtesy of the Bangor Daily News.
