Maine Has Wonderful Eateries from Kittery to Fort Kent

While traveling around the state, we’ve discovered amazing diners, great pubs, outstanding sandwich shops, and delicious cafés. Many of these places are in towns that aren’t exactly well-known, but great food knows no borders.

That includes takeout, too.

Takeout might just be the greatest invention since the wheel. Nothing is more convenient, especially when no one seems to have any free time anymore. It’s an absolute blessing.

If there’s one good thing that came out of the pandemic, it’s the rise in takeout quality. Restaurants had to reinvent nearly everything just to stay afloat, and that meant fully embracing the takeout game.

And that’s exactly what happened. A huge number of restaurants began offering takeout, which in turn pushed the overall quality way up. The more places that joined in, the more competitive it got, which ended up being a big win for the consumer.
