Modest Mouse's new album announcement has been getting tons of buzz, making us very, very excited for the new year. Even more exciting is the fact that the band has shared the studio version of their brand-new single, 'Lampshades On Fire' -- take it for a spin in the video above.

The buzz around the new LP started when the band shared a photo of the 7-inch of 'Lampshades,' and now that 7-inch is spinning for the whole world to hear. While there's not much to the visual portion of the video (but who doesn't love watching vinyl spin around and around), you'll hardly be disappointed by the track itself.

Eight years since their last studio album, 'We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank,' the mid-tempo song brings us back to the heyday of Modest Mouse and is definitely one of those songs that'll instantly get trapped in your head -- not necessarily a bad thing. "With the lampshades on fire / When the lights go out / This is really what I call a party now," Isaac Brock sings.

As confirmed over the weekend, 'Strangers to Ourselves' will hit the streets on March 3 via Epic Records. Although it might seem like a long time to wait, you can pre-order your copy now on the band's website, iTunes or Amazon.
