So how's your lawn doing? Everyone that has lived in Maine understands and accepts what this state has to offer. Beautiful scenery, a laid back culture, and absolutely silly weather. That includes the possibility (more likely than not) that most of southern and central Maine will be seeing SNOW on Tuesday morning in mid-May. You can't make this stuff up.

Shared on Twitter by Ryan Breton, both of the most consistent weather models used by meteorologists show snow for Tuesday morning, something almost nobody in Maine is excited about. For almost the entire spring so far, New England has been stuck in a cold-air rut leaving temperatures below average and many days feeling chilly and gloomy.

If it does actually snow on Tuesday, that isn't going to help everyone's winter blues. This little tidbit won't either. As Breton states in his Tweet above, this week is usually when Maine finally sees its first 80 degree day of the year. Instead of a beach day, Mainers may have to dig their snow brooms out of storage for an early morning car cleanup.

When will this cold, rain and snow end? There's actual, legitimate hope in the long range forecast. But we don't want to jinx it.
